Healing & Preventing the Abuse of Women in Yoga
In this interactive event Aneta and Julia will talk about power dynamics, leadership, blame and belonging in yoga with specific reference to #metoo in yoga.
This free event will take place via zoom where you can ask questions and participate and will be broadcast in the Yoga Teachers Forum Facebook group.
About the facilitators:
Julia is a yoga teacher and mentor. Her area of expertise is women’s health - specifically supporting women through menarche - as tweens and teens, fertility, peri-menopause, menopause and post menopause. She trains yoga teachers so they can safely care for women in their classes who may in their classes and feel comfortable with using appropriate anatomy terms while teaching. Her trainings and classes are open to all. She is also a yoga business mentor and works with yoga teachers to help them to realise their professional dreams through following their hearts path in a practical and professional way.
Julia is the Founder of Yoga Teachers Forum London and is passionate about bringing yoga teachers together to learn, share and support each other personally. She is an advocate of “listening partnerships” and has found the partnership she has very supportive in her own journey as a mother and sole practitioner.

Aneta Idczak is registered Senior Yoga Teacher and Trainer with Yoga Alliance Professionals, and founder of Golden Mandala Ltd Yoga School providing unique yoga teacher trainings and mentoring, and founder of Trauma Resilience Embodied Yoga and Social Impact accredited teacher training.
Aneta brings together over 25 years experience of practicing yoga, mindfulness and Focusing (embodied listening), as well as training in various modalities including embodied yoga, Yin/Insight yoga, psychology and counselling, Master NLP, Life and Wellness Coaching, breathwork, energy healing and Reiki Master, Somatics, embodiment practices, bodywork and Thai Yoga Massage therapy.
Aneta specialises in working with private clients in needs-led integrative approach that is further informed by her 16 years front line work in Social Care with trauma, crisis intervention, mental health, addiction, DV, and child protection issues in various settings in London and Kent, where she later managed, trained and supervised workers.
