Watch Interview - Julia Davis interviews Anthea Sweet about Anatomy Applied

Course Outline:

Two CPD afternoons for yoga teachers keen to extend their knowledge of anatomy and apply it on the mat.

With a combination of anatomy and breathing theory, practice of asanas/sequences and group work we will explore anatomical principles through our own experience and plan your strategies for implementing what you learn.  This event will be recorded for lifetime access.
  • How to apply centre of gravity, weight distribution, breath mechanics and lines of force to develop your students’ structural strength and stability alongside stretch work
  • Teaching tips to encourage your students to build awareness of their own body mechanics and the difference between challenge and overworking
  • Developing lesson plans with anatomical focus within a yogic framework
  • Communication, cuing and adjustments to activate good grounding, core stability and use of the breath

This event will take place via zoom with additional material provided by Anthea.

It was great to have the chance at the workshop to apply in in practice the principles we learned to posture and transition. I learned things at this workshop that I can immediately apply to my teaching. Anthea Sweet is very knowledgeable and approachable and welcomes questions.  A useful and enjoyable day!K.S.
